Our LDF23 project with artist, designer, educator and cultural change-maker Simone Brewster has found a new waterside home in Canary Wharf. Brewster's 'Spirit Of Place' sculptures, made using Amorim cork, are a vibrant addition to Harbour Quay Gardens. The towering pieces tell a story of the future of cork forests that relies on "upright expression, drought resistance, regenerative growth, and biodiversity conservation".This week, we brought the design community together to kick off ideas for #LDF24 inside the Vitra showroom Tramshed in London. We sipped New Theory wine and LOAH beer while sparking collaborations to see us through to 14-22 September. GAIL's Bakery treats kept us fed throughout the evening that got our creative minds opened for the year ahead.55 of the most exciting emerging artists from the UK are showcasing at Camden Art Centre with the return of New Contemporaries. Selected by internationally renowned artists Helen Cammock, Sunil Gupta and Heather Phillipson, this year's works explore themes including kinship, identity politics and care, and include costume, textiles, performance, moving image and painting.
