Alessi - The Coffee "9093" turns thirty

The kettle with a bird whistle "9093" designed by Michael Graves in 1985 is one of the design icons of the twentieth century, a successful product with one and a half million units sold. Head of a large family of objects designed by Graves since the 80s, the kettle with a bird whistle, is the first project of an American designer to enter the Alessi catalog. The "9093" also has the merit, thanks to an inspired mix of languages, it has opened the way for the post-modern design and pop that has marked the 90s.
