Porto Montenegro, the multiple award-winning luxury yacht homeport and marina village based in Tivat, opens two new spectacular entertainment venues ahead of the upcoming summer season 2018.

The first is an innovative new extension of the Porto Montenegro Yacht Club (PMYC), giving the location its very own PMYC Beach. This luxurious area is a 600 square metre oasis with direct access to the water. Brightly decorated daybeds, hammocks, giant beanbags and deck chairs create an eclectic, informal atmosphere that is perfect for daytime relaxation. At night, the space transforms into an open-air bar with a cinema screen and full cocktail menu.

The other new addition is the Porto Montenegro Marina Park. Directly overlooking the superyachts of Porto Montenegro and the UNESCO-protected Boka Bay, this new 1,000 square metre waterfront event space features flowering gardens at both ends and a 240 square metre marquee. The Marina Park will provide residents and hotel guests with a range of traditional garden games such as boules, badminton and croquet for use on the new venue’s outdoor lawn.

“Porto Montenegro’s achievements over the past decade set the precedent for the next 10 years and beyond, kick-starting with summer 2018 which is set to be the most exciting and dynamic season yet”, said Tony Browne, Marina Director at Porto Montenegro“This summer, we welcome new venue launches, and a whole calendar of events and regattas firmly in the diary, with new residences on the horizon and natural expansion of the village in the years to come.”

The marina village is also set to benefit from the launches of the newly renovated Auditorium and Synchro. These two fabulous cultural spaces are dedicated to concerts, theatrical performances, fashion shows, parties and more spectacular manifestations over the coming months. What’s more, Porto Montenegro’s food scene gets more exciting year on year, with a new champagne and seafood bar, Montenegro’s first traditional steakhouse, a noodle bar and well-known contemporary Japanese restaurant, Sumosan, scheduled to join the village this season.

The events calendar for the approaching summer in Porto Montenegro is as vibrant as ever. On 12 May, the season kicked off with the PMYC Beach Launch Party, in association with Southern Soul Festival, where music and cocktails took over the evening. On 7 July, the 6th edition of the SuperWine festival is planned, promising a huge gathering of the best wineries from the Balkans and across Europe.

The International Fashion Festival will be held in Porto Montenegro for the first time ever from 27-28 July and the Motor Yacht Rally is set for 8-13 August. Also, Porto Montenegro plans to show the World Cup 2018 on big screens for football fans, stage parties, sailing regattas, and even croquet competitions, not to mention outdoor yoga classes, art exhibitions, degustation dinners and a hackathon.

The 2018 season in Porto Montenegro is set to be the most dynamic and special yet, continuing to elevate the status of this new European luxury hotspot.
