Ernestomeda presents the new Sign, conceived by Giuseppe Bavuso

To mark #eurocucina2022, Ernestomeda previews Sign, the new kitchen model conceived by architect and company art director #giuseppebavuso, and Back System, a genuine structure with bearing uprights equipped with specific elements that can be adapted to various requirements and installed as an addition to all #ernestomeda kitchens.

Sign is absolutely one of the most important, richly endowed projects the brand has ever produced, featuring an amazing variety of materials, finishes and structures, enabling virtually infinite customisations and combinations to meet all the consumer’s requirements.

From first glance, it is clear that the new project offers a strikingly fresh open-space concept. In fact, Sign suggests an unusual, revolutionary way of organising space in the kitchen, which opens out to and merges with the other interiors in the home, becoming a true extension of the living room, the fulcrum of the home and the place for spending time together.

In #design terms, Sign is conceived with contents of high formal and aesthetic value, with performance levels very close to professional standards. While on the one hand the kitchen must continue to enable efficient food preparation, on the other it must blend seamlessly into the surrounding environment: in other words, this kitchen furnishes and decorates the home with features typical of living-room dining areas.

With about two hundred finishes and materials to choose from - from the most natural to the most high-tech and innovative - Sign is definitely one of the #ernestomeda models with the highest customisation capability, able to create fascinating mixes of materials and colours for striking, elegant #design schemes. This model has what it takes to transcend its “service” role and play an important part in furnishing the home.

From the most basic solutions such as melamines and matt lacquered finishes to the more sophisticated metallised glasses, through to woods and stonewares, Sign offers the opportunity to create your kitchen interior in a completely individual way, in all cases with the utmost aesthetic matching and the widest freedom of choice.

One of this project’s distinctive features is the absence of enclosed wall units in the upper section: storage elements are replaced by glass-fronted cabinets and boiserie panels, real display zones where every item has purely decorative connotations, to create continuity and harmony with the living area.
