Retailer releases wine list curated by in-house Master Sommelier
AUSTIN, Texas (June 4, 2018) – Today, #wholefoodsmarket announced its annual Sommelier Best in Class Summer Wines. Devon Broglie, Master Sommelier, and Whole Foods Market’s team of global beverage buyers selected 12 wines that pair perfectly with a day at the pool, or your favorite foods for summer grilling season. These carefully chosen bottles offer delicious, foolproof choices for shoppers and they are all on sale for a limited time.
This summer’s selection includes #ramonarubygrapefruitspritz, a canned wine from Italy made with natural ruby grapefruit and organic grape juice, offering shoppers a slightly sparkling off-dry, rose-colored wine spritzer that’s deliciously refreshing and not too sweet. Another delicious wine comes from Napa Valley, #criterionchardonnay, featuring welcoming aromas of Meyer lemon, crisp apple and vanilla, entwined with flavors of ripe melon, pear, peach and a bright acidity that make it the perfect pairing for dishes like seafood paella or roasted pork.
“We’ve been celebrating summer with a special set of great value wines for over a decade,” said #devonbroglie, Master Sommelier and Global Beverage Buyer for #wholefoodsmarket. “We’re thrilled to introduce this latest selection featuring some special wines from top producers around the world. Our team worked hard to curate a list of wines that pair well with summertime staples like burgers, tacos, BBQ and grilled seafood.”
Whole Foods #market is the only national grocery retailer with a Master Sommelier, and Broglie is one of only 249 #people in the world to hold the title. The Sommelier Best in Class Summer Wines include:
